UNITY WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST

WE declare that you live in harmony and unity with your fellow believers. We prophesy that a sense of kinship resides in your spirit that enables you to maintain oneness with your brothers and sisters in Christ. May you be able to properly discern the Lord’s Body in truth and love. We say the power of misunderstanding, division, miscommunication, and discord are broken and replaced by communication, understanding, and agreement. May you be able to find places of peace and harmony even with those with whom you cannot see eye to eye on certain viewpoints. May you be free from any hurts or feelings of betrayal caused by a brother or sister in the Lord. May the ability to forgive be the element that reigns supreme in your heart, and we say you experience the pleasantness that comes from being united. We decree you are able to effectively function in the local church body and supply a positive contribution to the Kingdom of God. May your unity with the Body of Christ descend like the oil of the Holy Spirit upon your life in Jesus’ Name!

UNITY WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST

SCRIPTURE

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Before Jesus was crucified, one of His prayers was that His brethren would be united (see John 17:11). As believers we are called the Body of Christ, which reveals we are to function in harmony. A divided body is unhealthy, and that is why we must strive for unity. Obviously, we will not all agree on everything. We may see certain Scriptures differently, misunderstand another’s intentions, or even feel hurt by someone in the church. Even in Scripture we see where the early church dealt with differences. This is why during communion, Paul said we are to discern the Lord’s Body (see 1 Cor. 11:27-29). Make a point to strive for oneness and ask the Lord to help you be a unifier in His Body!
