RESTFUL SLEEP
SCRIPTURE
It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2).
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Of all the things one could pray and decree, declaring that you receive a good night of sleep is a priority. There is something about a good night’s sleep that seems to make most things better in the morning, and some problems just seem to melt away. It’s not that a night of sleep changes a single shred of our circumstances. What sleeping does is change us! When we are rested and rejuvenated everything about us spirit, soul, and body is better able to cope with whatever life hands us. It changes our perspective and gives us the energy to move forward. We certainly know that there are natural things we can do to enhance a good night’s sleep, but we often overlook that being unable to sleep can also be spiritual. We need to stand up to the enemy and command all evil forces that would disrupt our ability to rest to leave in Jesus’ Name. As you settle in to bed each night, begin declaring over your sleep that it shall be sweet!
