FREE FROM DISCOURAGEMENT
SCRIPTURE
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be moved (Psalm 55:22 MEV).
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Experiencing moments of temporary discouragement happens to all of us, but it’s what we choose to do with that discouragement that determines the outcome. Discouragement is to be deprived of the hope that something is going to turn out alright. When Jesus’ disciples were in the boat in a storm (see Mark 4:35-40) they reacted not only in great fear, but they expressed a form of discouragement through the assumption that they were going to die. The disciples couldn’t see that all was going to be fine. However, Jesus responded by saying, “How is it that you had no faith?” They allowed discouragement to take over their thinking. We have to resist moments of discouragement. If we don’t, then those moments will grow until our life is governed by feeling discouraged. Stand up today and decree against any discouragement that has tried to invade your thoughts and know that it’s going to turn out alright!
