The Lord is Good!
The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. This needs to be our declaration, our attitude and our decree as we approach this holiday season, especially as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving here in the U.S. While we each have a lot to be thankful for, this time of year can become stressful if we let it. Statistically, this is a time where many feel lonely, stressed, and just extra busy. All of this can negatively affect our attitude, mood and overall outlook on things. However, in the midst of our schedules and daily routine, we can either be overcome by stress or we can pause and say, the Lord is good and His mercy endures.
Let me encourage you to say it often this holiday season, because there is a connection between our declaring of God’s goodness and His divine intervention. We see this connection in 2 Chronicles 5:13 when the singers gathered and began to declare that the Lord is good. It was at the moment of that very declaration when the Lord intervened with His glory and they could no longer stand because of His glorious presence.
I am convinced the same happens for us when we declare God’s goodness. We no longer have to “stand” in the attempt to deal with everything in our own strength. When His divine presence descends everything changes! We need that even more during the busyness of the holidays. Spend some extra time offering thanks and declaring His goodness, allowing His glory to intervene in all you do.
Are you ready? Say today, “The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever!”
