The Blood of Jesus!
“The Blood of Jesus!” I yelled as I witnessed a van being hit by a Volkswagen at the intersection I was coming to a stop at. Those words remind me of how powerful the Blood of Jesus is, and how it is available for us today. As I sat at the intersection, I watched the accident unfold in front of me. All I could do was cry out and claim my covenant right to the Blood of Jesus, and I am glad I did! Because as the van was being hit by the Volkswagen it caused a little girl, who was a passenger in the back seat, to have her head and body fly out the back window and towards my car as I sat at the intersection. It was surreal, slow motion if you will, as I watched the van and the little girl’s head come right for my car and about to be smashed in between my car and the van. When after I declared the blood, the Lord moved that little girl’s head out of the way just in time and she didn’t even have one broken bone! Why? I am convinced it was the power of prayer, but more importantly the Blood of Jesus. You see, cars can be replaced including mine, even after several thousand dollars of damage done to it. Yet, the Blood worked and it will work for you!
Never forget when in Exodus Chapter 12 they applied the blood of a lamb to their doorposts by applying it with hyssop. When God saw the blood He passed over, meaning He honored the covenant of blood He made with Israel to protect them and not allow the enemy to touch them. In the same way today, and as in the story I just shared with you, and with Israel and the applying of blood with hyssop, we can apply the blood or “plead the blood” by speaking it over our lives, family, children, vehicles, and homes to name a few. This is how we overcome the enemy. It is by the Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and the word of our testimony!
Revelation 12:11 – They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony…… Our testimony is our speaking, declaring “pleading the blood” that is applied like Israel did with hyssop! God ahead, start speaking it, the fountain of His blood is open. “I plead the blood”. How about you?
